About Spirulina
Spirulina is a single celled edible blue green microalgae which is 3.5-billion-year-old superfood full of protein, vitamins and minerals. Its absence of cell wall makes it easy for digestion. It grows very fast if cultured in highly alkaline warm water under strong sunlight. Spirulina uses photosynthesis just like plants, meaning it consumes CO2 from the air while producing oxygen. It has a long history of safe human consumption and has been called a food of the future by the UN FAO, NASA and the European Space Agency.
